Inhaler technique – improving adherence, and demonstrations of good and poor technique
This session will analyse the issues and common errors associated with inhaler use and will evaluate the evidence base in relation to inhaler technique. Participants will explore practical solutions to a range of typical scenarios in primary care.

Asthma device selection – how to choose the right device for patients
In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to examine a variety of inhaler devices and spacers to compare and contrast the similarities and differences between them. This deeper level of understanding will then be applied to practice through case-based problem solving.

How to conduct a patient-focused COPD review - Should we screen for COPD or should we focus on correctly diagnosing those we have on our registers?  What is the Lower Limit of normal (LLN) and how does this impact on the diagnosis of COPD especially in the older patient?
